I've gotten about 41,000 miles in 2 years and they are ready to be replaced, in fact, over due.
What kind of mileage has anyone here gotten?

I just had mine rotated today. The fronts had 9/32 tread and the backs had 6/32. They have right at 35,000 miles on them. Might get another 7 to 10,000 if I am lucky. Been on the truck for 2 years.

So I guess we buy them for their off road ability, more than mileage!

That, and the fact they look pretty darn good, too.
We all know it's true.

I have close to 70,000 miles on my BFG AT's on my Express 1500 AWD van. I only have 29,000 on the same tires for my 2500HD truck and I don't think I'll get much more than 40,000. Part of the problem is my locking rear end which wears out the middle of the tread, my fronts looked pretty new when I rotated them.

I bought them because I needed a more aggressive tread than the stock Goodyears had. BFG was the only 20" tire out there that had the E rating (3860#). Goodyear now makes the MT/R Silent Armor in 285/65/20. That is the size I need and will put them on when the BFG's are shot. 40,000 miles out of an all terrain/mud grip tire is about all I expect to get, especially towing a fiver.

I got about 70,000 miles on my last set on my previous vehicle. I rotated them regularly and didn't drive like a "hotrod4x5".
Unfotunately, BFG doesn't make a tire size for my present Dakota with 18" rims. I'll go with Goodyear Silent Armor Wranglers when the piece of junk OEM tires wear out.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I should mention that the tire rotation included the spare. That adds 1/5 more milage. A spare that just sits rotting on the back of a truck is the REAL waste of money.
