Will be leaving in a week from NE Texas going to Shipshewana. Have looked at 2 routes, one takes me up I55 to I57 to I70 to Indianapolis...the other takes me thru Nashville and north on I65 to Indianapolis. Both routes are about same milage...was just wondering opinions from anyone who has traveled these routes and which would be the better route. Will be towing large 5th wheel with 350 Ford PSD...thanks

We have taken both routes, we would do the I55 I 70 route. Going up I65 you would be going around Nashville, not bad, but through Louisville. Not an easy ride. So if you are looking for opinions, then do the I55 I70 route. Much easier.

From Indy take I69 to Angola exit, left onto US20, right onto IN5

we use 55/57/70 to 31 north from Indy and 20 across all good roads north of Indy
