I don't know the technical details but we have satellite TV pretty much everywhere in Canada. There are lots of local TV stations as well.

US satellite TV doesn't work very far north, depending on the size of your dish and the type. However Canadian satellite TV works fine. The Canadian system works much farther south into the US than visa versa. Probably because most Canadians appear to use larger dishes than US folks.

We had direct TV for awhile in Florida. We later used the same dish to bring
in the signal for Bell Expressvu, we had taken our Bell receiver with us and
got a good signal. The dish was an American dish and no smaller that our
regular Bell dish.
The three main Canadian Networks, CBC, CTV and Global are available on regular
TV with an antenna. They have wonderful world coverage on news events and also
we have US content for those shows you don't want to miss.
I'm sure if you bring your own dish and receiver you would have no problem
picking up a signal....if you already subscribe to satellite service.

Talk to your satellite provider to see whats available in Canada.Although i never understood why any one would want to turn on a TV while camping to watch some sappy show when a camp fire and the sounds of the evening are so much more fulfilling.

Gary, you gotta horse? Wow! I saw one of those on CBC TV the other day. I'm impressed.
I'm still working on getting a full team for the dogsled ... you'd think with you being in the North and all, that a dog team would be more versatile.
Maybe we can swap? How many dogs equal one horse?

Sue, I'd say it takes about 8 sled dogs to = 1 horse, & at least 50 yorkies.
Say, sue, Gary, Grey Mountain, PB, didja know them car folk, they talks about cars havin' horse power?
& 1 cat = 3 hours tv
1 dog = 1. 5 hours tv
1 horse =3.5 hours tv
But 2 cats = 4 hours tv
2 dogs = 5.5 hours tv
2 horses = 3.0 hours tv
& I, I took the road less travelled by.
