It was down to the wire. Made resverations for Davis Mts. SP 6 months ago. On the way home in May had a tire to blow just 8 miles from our parking spot. Yesterday we had the 16" rims and tires installed. The repair service had just finished Saturday the side panels and 2" lift. So, we will be on the road for Fort Davis to enjoy the parade and fireworks. From the chambers website it is to be the largest fireworks display. We will have the chairs out setting on the mountian side looking down at it. I am keeping my fingers crossed it will be in the upper 80's a lot cooler than Midland.

Afternoon party at some friends north of Denver, then home to Glenwood Springs to watch the fireworks over the Colorado River with cousins visiting from Nebraska. We very rarely camp on holiday weekends.

Heading to Lake Gaston, VA side... AMERICAMP in Bracey, VA which we've read good and bad things about, we most always make the best of good and bad situations so we don't take much into what we read (though if it's real bad you'll hear about it!) We've got family comming to camp with us and heading to the Eatonton Ferry Bridge to watch Fire Works on Friday night, just a few miles from the CG. Should be a great time!

You guys are headed in when we're heading out.
We're checking in tomorrow at Wagan Wheel Resort, Fish Boil at White Gull Inn Saturday night and Brunch Sunday with the goats at Al Johnson's.
