I think I've tuned this recipe to where I like it so I'm posting it here for you grill masters to try The rub may sound a bit hot for most peoples taste however once you grill and then break the pork apart it really just adds a slight seasoning.

Smoked Pulled pork barbecue stackers.

This is a Weber Grill recipe that I've changed slightly. Serve this on buns with a small scoop of coleslaw. It's a good flavor/texture combination.

1 Boneless pork shoulder roast (Boston butt), 4 to 5 pounds, rolled and tied
1 Pound coleslaw.
1 Bag of hamburger buns, or buns of your choice.

Rub
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon firmly packed light brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

1. Soak hickory or mesquite wood chips for 1 hour in water prior to grilling.

2. In a small bowl combine the rub ingredients. Coat the roast evenly with the rub. Allow to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling.
3. Place wood chips in a smoker tray or make your own tray by double layering tinfoil into a 6 x 4 tray shape. Place tray in front left corner of grill directly on flavorizer bars (Under the grill grates). Preheat grill to 350F.
4. Grill the roast, fat side up, over indirect medium heat (350°F to 450°F), with the lid closed, until the internal temperature registers between 185?F and 190?F, 3 to 4 hours. The meat should be so tender it pulls apart easily. Remove from the grill, place on a platter, and loosely cover with foil. Allow to rest for about 20 minutes.
5. Thinly slice, chop, or “pull” the pork meat into shreds with your fingers or two forks. Discard any large bits of fat. Grill the cut side of the buns over direct medium heat until lightly toasted, about 30 seconds. Serve the pulled pork warm on the buns with coleslaw.

Makes 12 to 15 servings

We are doing something tomorrow that we have never done before: camping in Iowa! We re going for 4 days to Backbone State Park with Deb's family. It's nice to know that we at least won't have to worry about the usual north-south weekend traffic nightmares around Madison. And... it was even possible for us to reserve an electric site only 1 month in advance! Wi could learn something from IA in that regard!

I guess I'm just spoiled Greg as we always wait until the last minute to go somewhere other than our usual haunt. Sometimes they're aren't good results either. But we make the best of it around here.
Last week we decided on the Sunday before the we would take our camper New Richmond Wi. and watch a race going on there, I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a spot away from the track. I finally made reservations at a county park in Glenwood City, and kept checking back at the track. I they agreed to make extra space for extra campers some they didn't turn anyone away and we got a spot in there on Tuesday evening so we cancelled county park. I suppose we lucked out and went to primitive site instead of electric in a forested area, but I didn't want to do any driving late at night after the events were over. I just need to get on the ball and plan ahead a little more. hehe
