We just got back from Backbone State Park in Iowa. Very nice park... almost like a smaller version of Devil's Lake, but A LOT less crowded. Great trails, interesting rock formations, nice beach. The campground wasn't quite what were expecting for a State Park though. The sites were close together and smallish. Would definitely go back though.

Well Todd & Amanda leave tomorrow afternoon for their exciting weekend. Amanda has planned a backpacking hike on the ice age trail, with one stop Friday night at Mauthe Lake. Should be interesting to hear how this went.

Camping in the Dells this past weekend at Holiday Shores. Our site was a muddy mess & Todd had fun burying it in the mud. Had to use 4 wheel drive to get it backed up & parked out of the mud.

Any one real close to Mauthe Lake tonight? Todd will probally be ready for a really cold one or 2 or 3????
