A friend I am working with this summer has a 98 Discovery with front entry. The door has 3 combination screen and door hinges. The top 1 is cracked on the door frame side and all 3 are worn. Typical wear causing door to drop about a 1/16 inch or so. Doesn't look like a hard job to change if I can get the parts and a little in site into the replacement. I have VIN and Coach numbers plus a number stamped on the lower hinge. Any ideas where to start finding hinges and the little seals that go over them. Plus any advice on the replacement.

Thanks Bill

I had to replace a hinge on my Fleetwood Southwind. I dont know about the Discovery, but on my 03 Southwind Fleetwood pop riveted all the hinges in it. Personally I thought that was a dumb design as it did not allow removal without drilling out the rivets, and then there is no adjustment in the door or screen door.
The shop I used (San Diego RV Center) had to get the hinges directly from Fleetwood. And since 2003, Fleetwood had changed the hinge design a bit, so the new hinge rivet holes did not line up with the original holes in the door frame. SD RV had to re-drill new holes and put a little white silicon in the original holes. BTW you cant even see most of the original holes as the new hinge covers them up.

My issues was that the little nylon bushings on one hinge wore and the hinge pin must have got bent or bound up. My door would make this terrible binding sound and did not open and close easily. We figured while we are fixing the one hinge we might as well replace all 4. The hinges for the Southwind were pretty cheap. I think I paid $20 or $25 per hinge? The whole job was around $200.
