Got a 1406 code on my scan gauge. As I understand, this is a DPFE issue (differential). Any known fixes? Apparently a common Ford problem,but I wonder what those of us with MH's have done to fix it. It hasn't caused a driveability issue thank God.

Ford had a few bulletins addressing the DPFE sensor with updated units, but I only know of 2002-2004 models. There should be a part number on the original part, give a call to the local Ford dealer, they should be able to tell you if there's an updated unit.
I don't get lost, I investigate alternative destinations.
See a guy in the campground with a telescope, that may be me.

No way of pin pointing the problem for sure without some tests but 9 times out of 10 it's the DPFE sensor. If it turns out to be the sensor use only a Ford part, too many problems with the aftermarket stuff. Many bulletins on this issue.
