You think Ford is healthy and will get thru this on their own?
One quarter later, and things are looking good for Ford:

I'm done with GM, too. I have two sitting in my driveway and have been very loyal.
They closed all the local Chevy dealerships here in Maine. If I want service my Chevy would need to go to a local GMC dealer. Not a big deal but that's the same dealer who didn't want to deal when I was shopping originally! How helpful do you think he will be on warranty/service issues????????
Also, GMAC has off-shored all their CS so anytime I call I'm dialing direct to India. To top it off, they have screwed up my payments in the past 3 months twice.... Guess what, a 1/2 hour on the phone with someone who speaks about the same level of English my 6 year old does.
No thanks -

I love this chatroom as I feel I can get a feel for what is happening across our country. With all the upset people, I have not seen one person say, "I am going to write to my congressman to hold him accountable". We are the ones responsible for electing the people who voted for these bailouts. I have and will continue to let my elected officials know how I feel and will let them know further with my vote. Right now, I will never vote for those who have over the last few years allowed the country to come to this. When was the last time you wrote to your representatives? Are you willing to give up some of your time to campaine for a good new comer? I finally have reached the end of my rope. I'm ready to do something. Geneo

Litch, you are right, we should not be allowed to get on a soap box on these forums. Sorry, my mistake.

As I said in an earlier post I am a long time GM product owner. I went looking for a new truck last week and started with Ford. After doing some research and driving different trucks decided to go with the Duramax/Allison combination. I decided not let the emotion with what the government did play a part. If you like GM products it seems to me that it will be in our best interest to keep buying them.
