We were living in our 30' Prowler Lite TT when DH underwent knee replacement surgery. One big problem with the rig - no way he could use the bath inside. Thank God we had our outside shower! Purchased an outside shower room from Cabala's, put a shower seat inside of it, along with a 'handicapped' bedside commode, and it instantly became our 2nd bath! We placed all of this on our deck inside our screen house and DH simply used his walker (then his cane) to get himself out to 'his bathroom' whenever he needed it. Don't know what we would have done without the outside shower. Before this, we had only used it to rinse off a few times. We always thought it was strange taht it was on the door side of the RV, but, thankfully, it was. Don't know if anyone else ever needed their outside shower the way we did, but now we would never get a rig without it.

Life is too short to wait too long to do all we want to do!!
Go and enjoy!!

nelson wrote: Location is everything even with an outside shower. When located correctly they can be used to rinse off after trip to the beach or to wash hand when grilling. But when located badly, Like mine, Worthless. Mine is in my sewer bay. No need to even think of using it. IMO the best location would be Passenger side rear. Don't want it under awning, Would not get used unless you want to get things wet.
God yes location is everything, on my ROO 233 its on drivers side rear under the bunk and low on the trailor. Im not sure ill every use it.

I open mine and set it up for use when we arrive at the lake. It is used alot. Great place to rinse off after getting out of the water. A couple of weeks ago it was a great place to take a quick shower for a couple of guys after adult beverages. I really like mine and will have one on any future rigs.

We use ours all the time if we are in the "staying in the same campsite for more than a few days" mode. I built a "shower surround" out of pvc pipe and use 2 shower curtains to make an enclosure. We bungee the shower head to the top so it is more like a real shower.
Our usual routine after we come back to the camper from swimming in the river is to have one person in the outside shower and send them a kid at a time to wash. The other person takes them into the trailer to dry and dress them. It sure saves time, gray water, and mess in the bathroom. We use little or no soap and do the shower "navy style". Where we usually camp the ground is so porous the shower area is dry within 15 minutes.
I will definetly have one on every camper I own.

It's also good for rinsing the soap off of those dishes that have too many crevices and hiding spots for bubbles that the dish towel can't reach. Simply having a bar of soap out there, like other posters have said, is a lot easier and cleaner than running in and out of the trailer to wash hands and such.

My youngest daughter (3) loves it. We fill a Rubbermaid storage bucket up with warm water, and carry it over to the awning side.
She takes a bath in it, and it often a fight to get her out of it. She would live in there if the opportunity presented itself.

I have used ours mostly for hand washing and rinsing dirty feet, but also for a muddy dog on a couple of occasions. And occasionally, offering a source of hot water to the tent campers in the next site!
