I'm a regular on the Class A forum so not too familiar with this one but found 7 pages of info on the Hilo's in this forum. Unfortunately, none answered my question.
My son is looking to buy a new or used Hilo in the 17 or 19 foot model. Couldn't find much on the rvtraderonline.com type sites. Any more suggestions where he might look?
Also, I know class A's can be bought for 25% or more (probably more in this economy) off msrp. How are Hilo's, Trailmanors, Aliners and the like priced? Do they have an msrp as a starting point and, if so, what is a good percent off for a cash deal?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Please direct me elsewhere if it is.

I haven't seen a whole lot of conversation on this forum of the Hi-Los and Trailmanors. Most of the people on here have hybrids, defined by most as having some tentage. You might want to check for a forum or group dedicated specifically to Hi-Lo. Here is a directory of Hi-Lo owners groups:

We owned a HiLo for 10 years and I have never seen them discounted by much if any. All I can tell you is we gave over 15,000.00 for a 21 footer back in 1995 when we traded it in we got 5,200.00 for it in 2005.

We got the Trailmanor instead of the HiLo because we wanted more bed space and did not want to convert the dinette into our bed.
A good place for Trailmanor information is:

since the HiLo is a basically a foldable travel trailer and not a hybrid, you might find more TrailerManor/HiL owners on the TT forum.
once and a while a Trailmanor/HiLo owner will post here promoting their trailer as an alternative to a hybrid, since there's no canvas involved. and to be a hybrid requires it having the canvas of a popup and the body of a travel trailer.
so you may not get as much advice here as on the TT forum. but i'm not sure which category it fits in.
i not sure where the Mods expect owners of trailers like Trailmanor, HiLo and Chalet to post in. the Folding Trailers, Travel Trailers or Hybrid Trailer forums? i would assume the Folding Trailers forum but that's mainly Popups.

There was a suggestion a year or so ago to create another category for folding hard sided trailers, but that did not get off the ground.
I read everything that shows up under Newest. The only time I worry about a category is when I start a thread, which is not often.
