I found a 2000 F-350 Crew Cab, 4x4, SRW, 7.3, auto locally for sale. The price seems okay but it has 212,000 miles. Looks to be in fair to good shape, haven't had a chance to drive it yet. What are the thoughts about this TV? Any iedas on a good price.
Thanks,

What are towing with it?

F250's have plenty of pulling power with the diesel but lack high rear axle weight ratings and payload capacity. If you want to tow a heavy fifth wheel or haul a heavy truck camper, you're much better off with an F350 dually. For pulling a bumper-pull trailer, boat, medium size fifth wheel or gooseneck or hauling a light truck camper, they are fine.

he said it's a f350
i have over 263k on mine with no problems. i pull around 14-15K. some advice though, before pulling much weight put in a heavy duty trans cooler and a trans guage. the trans is pretty much bullet proof but the tc is the weak link.

It's priced at $9,995 right now but has been sitting on the lot for over a month.
Thanks for the responses.

I'd negotiate the price further down. However, I see tons of those trucks with over 250,000 mi on the odometer. The only thing I can think it may need would be some injectors if it hasn't moved off the lot yet. When you test drive it, try to do it on a cool morning and see how well it starts (yes, I know TX in August doesn't have a cool morning). Maybe see if they'll put a 3 month guarantee on those injectors. We've had several Ford trucks now (2 F-250 gassers, 2 F-350 diesels) and in both diesels we've had to replace injectors at 100,000 mi or so. However, overall they are a great truck, and I highly recommend them and they'll pull pretty much anything. We love ours.

I just picked up a 1999 F350 XLT CC LB DRW 7.3 PSD and I couldn't be happier. It has 83K miles on it and pulls my TT with ease. I've had to check my mirrors just to make sure the trailer was still back there
