I too am going through the 'settlement' process with Carlisle tire. Had a mid-axle blowout on I70 @ 65 MPH in my Raptor. Nothing but bbq pit and cooler in back.
I've been looking at these for a replacement: MAXXIS 8008 Size: 225/75/15E.
Anybody have experience with these on a 'fully loaded' Keystone 3712TS or similar weight 5er?

Thanks for the heads up on the Denmans, I knew they were made in Mexico before but now it's Michelin XPS for me, I like hot dogs and beans anyway.

Good luck with Carlisle. They claimed I hit something and that the tires were all fine. They only "offered" to replace them after my claim of "lost confidence" in their product. They setled at around $700 for the 7 tires. I put the MAXXIS 225/75/R 15 on my 2008 3612DS. It weighs in around 14-14.5 k. I've had good luck so far (knock on wood) Don't you love how all the specs for the 2008 Raptors show a 16" wheel and tire combo and then finding out your 2008 is really a late model 2007 with the 15" package??? Keystone claims the change was just for asthetics....not for any tire failure issue. They will not upgrade the tires and rims for you. Let us know how you make out.

Drinkwater - yeah, I'm in the 'give me the $ vice the tires' discussion now. They also said my proble was caused by 'impact damage'. Strange the front and rear appeared fine - middle of triple axle that went. As for the 16 vs 15 from the factory - I agree. I didn't know what I didn't know when I purchsed the trailer. I love everything else about it - haven't had a problem with anything else. My brochure also said it had 16s but it didn't. Live and learn - just wish I could find a 'reliable' tire for the rig. I come in at about 15K fully loaded with water, gas, and toys.

When my original Carlisles went out two years ago, I had no choice but to replace them with more Carlisles. Fortuantely I got E's this time around. So far (knocking VERY firmly on 100% all-natural wood), they're doing okay. If these start to go, I will go ahead and bite the bullet and upgrade to 16's and 245/75-16's (the only size that will fit without having to lift the trailer).

Once I'm able to get out from under this trailer (negative equity), it'll go bye-bye and I'll NEVER own another Keystone product. And it has little to do with the tires. The quality of the trailer is, shall we say, poor at best.

Watch them good RobG, had Carlisle "E's" on my trailer & lost a tread on the middle passenger side of the Raptor. Not very many miles on them either, maybe 8000.

I have the 15" "E" rated MAXXISS. I have around 1700 miles towing with them so far. They have not shown any problems. I keep them aired up to 80psi. Like you my brochure said 16" rims and tires. When I discovered the truth 3-4 days after getting it home I immediately started calling the dealer and Keystone. Both assured me that the 15" "D"'s were fine. I was lucky enough to have a weight ticket showing that I was well under the axle weights on the Raptor when my blowout occured. Carlilse also told me it was impact damage and declined to cover the damage to the side of my Raptor. Luckily I saved all my e-mails about my concerns with the "D" rated Carlises / 15" tires so my dealer and Keystone are splitting the damages.

Well Carlisle will give me the value of the original tires but nothing for damage or roadside service call. Guess that's about it with them. I've checked around and a company called TITAN will be making 15s in "E" rating in Feb. Factory said the model number will be 6RT348 and be ST225/75R15 E. They will be made in Indiana. Think I'll take what I get from Carlisle and switch out to them before hauling season.

Here is a thread from another area of the RV.net forum, don't know if this is relevant to the problem everyone seems to be having with the tires.

I thought that it was very interesting and informative. I was out in the driveway right after I got done watching the video.
