I am heading up to Dease Lake to go hunting in a few weeks, and am curious if they have opened a gas station in Meziadine Jct. When I went through there last year, both gas stations were closed. I could go into Steward if need be, but if anyone who has been through there lately could respond, that would be great.

The gas station at the junction has been closed for years and remains closed. If you need fuel, you must go into Stewart.

Thanks, Sue, I guess we will put a few Jerry cans of fuel in trailer and stretch it to Bell II.

From the PetroCanada station at Kitwanga to Bell II is only 154 miles.

Yup don't pass Kitwanga without getting fuel you can make Bell II easier to pay by cash there cash their CC machine works off satelite and does not always go through.
The gas station was open when I went through 2 summers ago but just gas no fuel I think. The place has a bunch of Earnest Borgnine pics on the wall apparently he likes Mez junction. And if it is open stop at "Club Mez" for a drink it is an old construction trailer turned into a bar and some weird ones come outta the bush for a drink.

The journey is just as fun as the destination

Sorry Muminator, but nothing is open at Meziadin Junction anymore. The café collapsed from the snow load three winters back and the owner burned the wreckage to keep people out of it. The pile of ruble remaining from the burn is still there. The gas station building is still standing but closed up and there are a few old building remaining at the far back corner of the property.
As of summer 2009:

Fill up before you go up the Cassiar Highway at Kitwanga.
Next is Bell 2 and Dease Lake. That should bring you to the intersection with the Alaska Hwy.
(No need to go to Stewart at all.) There's diesel and gas in Watson Lake.

We are camping there right now. (aug 18th)
The Cassiar is a great road with some construction up north, but nothing serieus.

The host person at the Meziadin Lake Provincial Park was telling me that the winter the building at the junction collapsed, this part of BC had received just over 55 feet of snow. Even at Bell II Lodge, I noticed some roof damage from where ice had fallen from a higher roof and landed on a lower section, damaging it. Must have been the winter of 2005.(?) or 2006(?)
