There is a technician at the last place I worked that ran a 80's Mercedes on SVO. He started the car on diesel and after 5 minutes he switched over.

I sure can tell what he's burning. Sometimes it smells like KFC, sometimes like McDonalds and sometimes like Chinese food.

Every now and then I still see him around. It's not fun to follow him if I'm on my way home and hungry.

I have a nephew who uses vegetable oil in his tractor and we were laughing one day that the exaust smells like french fries, which it did.

I don't see why people refuse to believe that a diesel can run on vegetable oil. That is what the first diesel ran on. I hate getting behind someone burning it.Makes me spend way to much money at fast food joints. Also takes me longer to get where I am going.

Just stop off at Willie's truck stop and fill up on Bio-diesel. Just north of Hillsboro Tx on E-I35. He has his own french fry oil refinery there.

Careful on the donut oil, sometimes it may be difficult geting thru those small towns without being pulled over for a sniff test and a handout.

We were going down the I-90 in NY last week and DW says "I smell French Fries." I looked & the truck ahead of us had a "Fueled by Biodiesel" placard on it.
