Hi,

I am wondering if water around the sides of my rockwood 2601ss (on top of the tarp that covers the bottom of the floor is normal? It seems to be all around the edges after a rain.

There is holes in the tarp where the walls bolt in ( I think the water is running down the wall running across the bottom of the tarp and going in these holes.

Any opinons? its a 2009. Just want to be armed when I got to the dealer. I am think they all must be like this with the bolts comming through. I checked another new one at the dealer and it had the holes also. I am going to check after a rain when they are closed.

I was going to caulk the holes but i am thinking mayber there there to drain.

there is no water in the trailer. This is the 1/8 board that is on the very bottom side that is getting wet.

Thanks for any help...

I surprised your belly HAS any holes in it that are not caulked. The idea is to insulate the basement area and keep water OUT. If it's running down the walls I'd be a lot MORE concerned with the damage being done to the walls. I'd for SURE seal any holes in the Coroplast material (not a tarp) so it can do it's job well but I'd find out where the water is coming from and fix THAT problem first.

Beneith that coroploast are things that really are NOT designed to ever get wet, like the slide motor, ducting for the furnace and lots of unfinished wood.

Good luck / skip

the water is running down the ouside of the walls from the rain but when it gets to the bottom it does not drip straight down it goes across the bottom of the floor about 2 inches, thats why i think it where its getting in cause where the holes are from the bolts is in the same area.

I might take a picture tonight and post

Also im not sure if this makes any differance but its an Ultra lite trailer so there is nothing in the floor. I am not sure how its build but it looks like a 1/8 sheet all across the bottom. then the tarp under it. There must be somthing in between but not sure what.

I believe coroplast is the plastic that signs are made out of. This is exactly like a tarp black on the bottom and grey on top.

I have seen that tarp material on a 2003 flagstaff 23' also. The water was also running down the sides and then in some spots trickling across the underbelly.
