Downloaded AVG last night now the browser doesn't work.

What's with this? Anyone else have this problem?

What do you mean by "doesn't work" and which browser and have you tried another browser?

Well... you made it this far. So, one browser is working. Whether or not you're on a different machine or using a different browser, we don't know. Need more information to be of help.

Some how AVG is blocking your internet settings you need to know something of what you are doing and get the settings right. This is what programs like AVG do BLOCK things!! yours is set wrong and its blocking everything!!! welcome to Anti virus that runs in the background !! ... that's why I don't use background anti virus ( I do scan regularly and since I practice safe internet practices I dont generally find anything. )

It is doubtful AVG has chosen to block everything on the OP's computer. If you are using Internet Explorer 8 you might try this solution:

Open IE
Tools tab > Internet Options > restore Advanced Settings and Reset Internet Explorer settings.
Restart IE.
