Depends...if you want a place to park, close to the historical attractions for a couple of days..it's ok.
But, it was very crowded and expensive when we stayed there a couple of years ago (summer).
It's certainly not a true nature/camping experience (which we prefer)..more of just a place to park.
Seems like they had lots of activities to keep kids entertained.
We enjoyed visiting Harpers Ferry.

Stayed ther before. Like downtheroad said, its a place ot park to tour Harpers Ferry. We liked it because it was close to home and we could go there on Friday night after work, but its typical KOA. Its got a big pool, they had entertainment, and we liked waliking around Harpers Ferry. Every once in a whilw we would drive into Charlestown and go paly the slots.

How much of a parking lot it is depends on where you get a site. Some are tight, others are not. Some are in the woods next to an old Civil War trench, kind of cool. Lots of fun for the kids, including the biggest gameroom we have ever seen at a campground.

Stayed there two nights about three years ago in the fall. It was clean and quiet. I will stay there again when I visit friends.

Stayed there two years ago ... very tight. Like everyone else is saying, if you are looking for a place to park while touring the area staying there is good. If you are looking to get away to just camp...and don't mind close encounters!
