How about these ads that offer TV on your computer (some over 2000 channels) for one low price of anywhere from 15 dollars to 50 dollars. Just pay for the software and have an internet commection. Has anyone tried this?

I have been looking into Hava Titanium HD. It will take any video source and broadcast it over the internet. The intention of the product is that you can hook it up in your house, remote control your cable box or other tuner, and play it live on your computer any were in the world. That way if your are already paying for cable at home, you can watch it anywhere without paying any additional fees.

If you've already paying for TV at home, then buy a Slingbox. Works for me - just view all my home stations on the laptop. You're paying for them anyway.

Don't spend any money on this. It is FREE! But most of it is foreign language and most of it is garbage. Here's the software I use to access it: Free Software for Internet TV All the ads for sat TV over PC are scams. The only sat channels you'll see are the ones that also transmit on the Internet.

Hmmm...I hadn't seen that one. Actually works quite well!
For those of you interested, run "Wireshark" and take a look at the traffic. The worst I've seen was about 400k with a pretty good (subjective) resolution. not bad...
