I bought a mat this season. I love it. We don't put it on grass, just concrete pad or hard packed gravel. Its nice to step out of the rv onto a mat and not have to worry about shoes.

We use ours when camping in the desert or in a campground where we are parked in the dirt. One of the biggest reasons to use it, is it keeps allot of the dirt out of the coach. It also sweeps off easy too. Our friends like to camp at Silver Strand beach here in San Diego. Its nothing more then a huge asphalt parking lot next to the sand. So by putting the mat down it keeps the beach sand and black asphalt marks from getting in the coach and it is cooler and more comfortable standing on the mat's then on asphalt.

I've had one I bought at Walmart for 3 years now and it looks like new. If I bring it home dirty, I wash it down with a hose. I carry it on top of my rear mounted cargo carrier and it serves me well. I would say you found a bargain if shipping is not too high. Otherwise make a stop at your local Walmart.

I've yet to kill any concrete or blacktop.

It's rare that I pull into a sight that's all grass and with kids the mat is a life-saver!

#1 reason: Keeps the dirt out of the camper
#2 reason: Kids can come in and out w/o shoes(adults too)
#3 reason: When it rains the mat will dry out quickly(no mud)
#4 reason: In the summer it's nice on bare feet(gravel hurts)

The one I bought at CW was around $69.00 and has lasted 2 years so far.I would'nt leave w/o it.

We have had the same mat for 5 years, it has been out in the weather every one of those 5 winters in Arizona for 3 months at a time still looks good and no signs of shredding. I guess your wright you get what you pay for, if you buy cheap you get cheap.

Enjoy the Road

Believe me, we camp in state parks and there is rarely any grass to kill in the areas where the TT gets parked. Our mat is 2 years old and has has been a huge help in keeping the mess outside. On the few occasions we get a slap of blacktop we then usually skip the mat.

To the op..thanks for the info on the sale prices. I am sure it will help someone save some $$$$

Actually they are not supposed to kill the grass. We and friends camp on grass most of the weekends throughout the summer and it never effects the grass. Actually, to be fair, I don't have one yet but what I do have is a piece of a dewatering press belt from where I work. Same thing but heavier. Heck, the grass can grow through it.
No grass has died during the use of this mat!!
