My wife and I worked for Alaska Travel Adventures during the 2009 summer season and will return for the 2010 season. We were both very impressed with the way we were treated, opportunies, wages, and professionalism. You are paid for all hours worked even RV park positions.

The wonderful thing about this company is the opportunity to work in many different locations, throughout southeast and southcentral Alaska.

Alaska Travel Adventures® (ATA) has locations in Anchorage, Denali, Skagway, Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan.

Summer Employment with Alaska Travel Adventures:
• Competitive Wages!
• Performance Incentive Bonus Program!
• Housing Placement Assistance!

Alaska Travel Adventures is preparing for the upcoming 2010 summer season. We are currently hiring outgoing, highly motivated people for summer employment in Alaska. We are Alaska's leading operator of active tour programs and have been offering quality excursions since 1978!

Below are just a few of the positions available:

To find out more about these positions and Alaska Travel Adventures, visit Alaska Travel Adventures websites at www.bestofalaskatravel.com.

You can e-mail me direct at green@bigrigrving.com if you have questions about anything including pay. I do not get any money for anyone appling, but please, if you do apply, put that you heard about ATA from Gary Green, this is to track the amount of RVer's interest in positions reguardless of the location. Since my wife and I are full-timers we believe in Rver's helping Rver's. I am the guy who does the hiring for Anchorage and Denali area.

Couple of things to add, this company is new to using Rver's other than at the two campgrounds they own, so when you read on their website about flying or whatever, pay it no mind unless you wantthat option. You can live in your RV at any location.

As to money I cannot discuss that on here, so I wil say this many of you have met us, or know us via whatever means, and know we do not do the normal work camp jobs because they do not pay enough. The amount on the website to make in a season is not even close.

Thank you for all the e mails and questions so far.

Depends on where and what position, yes of course at campgrounds, all hours are paid and your campsite, the other positions in company depend on where they are.

Gary,

A few years back it was discussed on here about the requirement that seasonal workers needed to register their vehicles in AK if they were there for the season, Has this changed?

The Alaska law is if you are there 3 months you are supposed to get AK license/registration. However, after 5 years volunteering in Alaska I have never met anyone who did that if they are just there for the summer which is often 4 months (May 15-Sep 15). Most people remain blissfully ignorant of that rule and I've never heard of it enforced.

When I stayed to volunteer for one winter (18 months) I did get AK plates/license etc.

registration in AK...I'll tell you what, if they want me to get plates.....I want some of that money they give residents when they have a good income year.....I used to know military guys who went to AK on assignment and changed their residency.......enjoyed that check once a year....hahahaha

most of the hosts and such we saw this year kept their residency state plates on for the summer....

Legally yes, but we have never had an issue and I have been stopped and been through check points, just told them I was summer help and they said ok.

Most of my CDL drivers do not have AK license, we just put your info down and as long as our insurance company does not throw a red flag, you are good to go.

As to changing tags to PFD, times have changed, you have to prove you live up there all year, registration for vehicels is cheap but insurance was about doubt what we pay in SD.

Thanks everyone for all the emails, there are still tons of positions available doing almost anything.

Hopefully they'll still be around when I retire. I'm very interested in working there, but I got a fulltime job down here. DW is already retired and ready to go do it!
I'm sure as this post grows, there will be many people interested.
