Hi,
I have a HD receiver in my home that I want to use in my rv. Can I order the small dish with one LNB knowing that I will only receive SD programming, or do I have to use a slimline dish with this receiver? Thanks for any advice!!

I just bought the dish that Camping World has. I found a second one at a garage sale for $3 and swapped it for one that was mounted on the lot I bought it works fine also.

That's what I did this year...The only problem I have is that to change channels, I have to use the guide, because if I hit say 607 for the speed channel, It goes to 607 HD. Make sure in your setup that you do not hide SD duplicate. so that in your guide you will see 607 and 607 HD ect.ect. Hope this helps.

If you select single lnb in the setup function, the HD channels will not be included in the lineup.

Good idea. Or you can program a second set of "favorites" for the rv

A Directv HD receiver used with a Winegard crank-up single LNB dish will pick up the SD channels from sat-101. A Directv HD DVR will not.

I have a HD DVR receiver HR20-100 and was not able to get it to work with 18" round dish. Even with the multi switch it would not work.It seems as though it needs more than 1 lnb to work . It will work with the triple lnb second generation dish. I have a 1st generation HD receiver HR10-250 and the 18" round dish does work with that one.

My mistake. HDDVR HR20-100 does work with 18" round dish but needs both feeds from dual lnb running into multi-switch and then to receiver. My setup on roof of motorhome has dual lnb but only 1 wire running inside into compartment up front. I had to go on roof and hook up to other cable from lnb and run down thru window and then it worked when I hooked both cables to multi-switch(zinwell 6x8).
