Posted this on Monacoers with only one suggested correction.
--When we purchased our 2006 Camelot 38PDQ in March 2006 the bed slide would move in and out with a jerking motion. I believed this was from the seals flipping over and did not consider it a problem. About two months ago the movement seemed to worsen so I began to investigate by removing the panels, under the bed, that cover the mechanism. Found all sorts of assembly trash in the area and a large gray flexible harness cover that I believe the bed was `bumping' over so I moved it out of the way. When I observed the bed moving with the panels removed, the aluminum bracket holding (may be the wrong definition) the non-moving portion of the slide out assembly to the floor of the coach, would flex at the beginning of the slide operation and when completely retracted. I estimate the flexing was as much as 2 inches.
The bracket is two pieces bolted together with the bottom portion bolted to the floor. There are slots in both the upper piece and lower piece (for adjustment?) and this is where the two pieces are bolted together. The upper piece is welded (heliarc?) to the end of the non moving piece of the slide out mechanism. The flexing was at this weld joint and that is where the break occurred! Don't thoroughly understand how this slide out works but I do know what broke. We stopped extending the slide when we heard a loud crack, about 4 inches, and we were able to retract the slide.

Has anyone else has experienced this and if so what was the solution. I have digital photos of the break, if anyone is interested.

Call the factory in Coburg. The factory is open and they have techs on duty to answer questions. Just a suggestion!

Have you tried emailing Monaco Tech Support at mcctech@monacocoach.com? They respond now following the Navistar buyout. I have found them very useful in the 4 years I have had my coach - just give them the VIN number and the description of the problem.
