Gensets will shut down if the oil pressure sensor tells it the oil pressure is to low. That could be the problem. They do leak and need replacement.

Check the gas cap. As gas leaves the tank it must me replaced with air or you will have a vacume and no gas will leave the tank.

unplug the oil pressure wire the one comming out of the crankcase see if it stays running
if you have fuel & pressure switch disconnected, the only thing left to shut it down is loss of spark, meaning a bad ignition module,
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

Post the details again please.
What does it do?
Stops as soon as you turn loose the start switch?
Post the whole model/make/spec and serial number so we'll know what you have.
Will it stay running as long as you hold the switch in the start position?
