Wish you had posted a few weeks ago. We would have thought about going. I need at least two weeks notice in order to get the time away from my part time work.

Just got out-rain and cold (26 degrees in Blairsville). Most everybody up there is from Florida. Headed to Talladega for the races then back to Florida for some warm weather.

To those of us out west, mountains have a vegetation line above which is bare rock with snow on top most of the year. If trees go all the way to the top, they're hills.

Have you checked with the folks a NEFLCC? Some of them are always looking to go someplace. Most live in or around Jacksonville. Check it out.

Wow, Frank can recognize a mountain at first sight!
Bugs53> we live just down the road from the Gorge. Drive slow, we are supposed to get soaked between now and the weekend. Bring warm clothes as well. Been getting pretty cold at night - of course it is nothing like the cold 'out west' where the mountains don't have trees on top. LMAO!

Mountians; rockie mountians are mountians
Georga has hills; I was born and raised in central PA; thats what we called them where I come from. (hills) some just bigger than others.

Thats why we were called hill billies. same as in west virginia; Tenn. and Kentucky
