It is really very easy to find drivers, easier than most people think.
Go to Google, and type what you are looking for. In my case, I typed MSI M670 drivers. I try to pick the ones from the manufacturers site. Or I could go to MSI.com or whatever the site is and enter my model number and download them all.
Piece of cake - anyone can do it, even if you lack the computer experience and knowledge.
yep, like I want to go to all of that trouble to correct Microsoft's mistake.

I'm with you on that.
XP is still supported. It works very well. they have all the bugs worked out. . . . a long time ago. XP is stable and well known.
Though I have heard nothing but good things for Win 7, I'll wait a while too. Why mend what ain't broken?
and you can't easily upgrade from XP to W7.

Same here, my HP laptop with Vista SP2 has been rock solid since day one after I deleted all of the clueless consumer add on software. My grandsons have been using it for over 18 months without a single problem and they click on everything. It's funny how many computer illiterate people are out there.

I guess my wife fits into the same category.
She knows less than nothing about computers, but Vista is running on her laptop and she reports no problems with it - including problems logging into various public and private wi-fi systems.

I have XPPro, Vista Ultimate 64bit, and Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit running on a triple boot PC without any problems. I spend most of the time running Vista and rarely use XPPro anymore. My wife also runs Vista Home premium on her laptop without any issues.

VISTA with SP2 release is aok. If the user has problems with it is likely that the user is not up to speed so to speak in regard to Vista.

Well, all computers require drivers, regardless of OS. It is not a mistake by Microsoft, it is simply a requirement of all computers, PC, Mac or others.
As stated, it is not a difficult task to get the drivers. Go to the manufacturers site and download them. Simple

How do you find the 64 bit versions to use?
I ask because I bought XP 64 bit about 3 years ago and had a very difficult time with it. I couldn't find drivers for simple things like my printer and other stuff. I also found that some of my favorite aps would not work in 64 bit. I finally cleaned it off and installed the 32 bit version and everything worked fine. Perhaps now they have it worked out?
Still have that XP64 disk collecting dust on my shelf.
