We have ordered a new Jayco 30' greyhawk. I think I would like to have jacks installed. We may be doing a lot of boondocking. Good or bad idea?

After you have power jacks you'll wonder how you ever set up without them. Besides leveling they help to stablize the inside of rig when you're moving around.

I added jacks to my second MH. ordered my third with them. don't leave home without them. I always felt so bad yelling out the window at the wife in the rain and the mud putting the ramps under the tires, screaming at her, "No your other left".

Would have been better if you asked the question before you ordered. Factory install would have been the way to go. maybe it is not to late.
They definitely help.

Be sure to check the added weight so you will know what CCC you have left. A Class C usually doesn't have much CCC even without jacks.

yes, by all means immediately talk to your salesman and have them added. much better/cleaner to get it done at the factory.

A 30 footer built on an E450 or GM equivalent, having muiltiple slides and electro-hydraulic leveling jacks, just might have an over-loading condition after adding people, water, gear and food. Then later adding a tow vehicle. It is surely worth investigating.
BTW, FWIW, I wish I had leveling jacks too, but I can't yet justify the cost. I figure I could add them at any time, after I too get tired of yelling...."The Other Left Side", ha, ha.
