I have a Onan 4000. When it is cold it starts up with no problem at all. After it is warmed up, I turn it off, try to restart, and nothing. It does turn as if it is going to start but it wont. I manually give the choke a flik with my finger and it will than start up. Any suggestions?

NOT enough info, heck my 454 doesn't like hot restarts the starter drags, form heat and from engine compression

how soon after shut down are you trying the re-start

the engine heat will rise and heat the carb and choke, so there is NO choke on a warm engine.

if it restarts in 30 minutes or less you might be OK, if it takes an hour or more, then the engine is running to lean and too hot,

very likely you need to make some adjustments.

Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother
....
