My friend has a 2007 Chevy diesel.

He claims when (not towing)

- at 70 mph he gets 21 mpg (UK 4.55 liters per Gal).

- at 105 mph he gets 28 mpg.

Anyone else getting these #'s?

I would have thought the mileage would be infinite, as the only was to get that speed is to drop it out of a plane at very high altitude. Even then ...

Yes, my '09 gets about 22 mpg when not towing, sometimes better, sometimes worse but not much. 170 mph? would I like to be the cop who pulls him over, or maybe not-be writing tickets for a week!

If he got to 105MPH he is running a performance program that removes the speed limiter. While going 105MPH he is looking at his DIC which will be way off because of the after market programming. Thats my guess.
