Rest area right at Macon, just north of 475. RV parking is separate from the trucks. Stay right, then right again. Walmart at exit 218 always has RV in the lot, Cracker Barrel next door.

Thanks all for your responses!

As many of you know Georgia can have cold spells in late December. That is the main reason I thought of an RV park -- so I could plug in a space heater to keep the boat's cabin warm. If the weather is not too cool I may just try the rest area or the Wal-Mart.

Thanks again,
Clark

I would also suggest High Falls but, as mentioned, you need to arrive before 10pm. Indian Springs is also very nice but you drive right by High Falls to get to it. For an overnighter, High Falls makes more sense. We're headed there for weekend tomorrow

I've never driven through the rest area just north of I475 but see lots of RVs in there when I pass by.

There's also Flying J with RV area at exit 201.

On an unrelated note...

What program are you folks using to get your rig photos to fit the paramiters for posting in your signature line? Cropping as small as I can and saving in as low a res as I can; I just can't get my photos to upload?

I used MS Office Picture Manager that comes with MS Office. I cropped/resized 2 individual pictures to be height rv.net allows and about 1/2 width. Then, I used MS Paint to put the two together. I've also used a MS "power toy" called Image Resizer or similar in past.

Exit 142......1/4 mile east off of that exit is Ponderosa Park campground. Night payment box, 30 and 50 amp pull throughs. Nice big grass lot in the back of the park to turn around in. I am full timing here....very nice, quiet park.

I second this one. Much easier to get into than High Falls Or Indian Springs and its a nice place.

High Falls is not an easy in/out CG. Can't imagine doing it after midnight.

Atlanta South is right off 75 a bit south of Atlanta. We have used it a few times for overnights. Friendly people, large pull thru's and easy on/off the interstate
