As a full-timer, on average, how many miles do you put on your vehicle yearly?
Earlier I made a statement in a post that most full-timers drive less than people who go to work on a daily basis. I am of the opinion that most people think full-timers drive a lot but I think most full-timers spend a lot of time at a particular place and don’t drive as much as some people might think.
According to my auto insurance agent the average American drives 15 to 20 thousand miles yearly, so I began to wonder what was the average for full-time RVers?

In the 9 yrs we've had this FT tow vehicle, we've put on 188,000 miles which averages nearly 21,000/yr. Of that, we've averaged about 8-9,000/yr in tow miles.
Our prior FT tow vehicle we had for 3.5 yrs and put on 98,000 miles with about 30,000 of those being towing miles.
The miles are split about 60% for DW and 40% for me.

Over the three years we have been fulltiming, we have averaged 8k on the RV and 12k on the Jeep. That puts us to about half of the "average".

Since my tow vehicle is my only vehicle I put more mileage on it than those who have another vehicle at hand. The truck is now 2 1/2 years old with 40k miles, so I'd say roughly 15K/yr.
I would love to have another vehicle to use as a daily driver but since I travel often and don't want to double-tow I'm consigned to using the one vehicle.

When we were full timing the first year we ran about 22,000 mile in about 9 months then we learn our lesson we were in to big of a hurry. But we did see a lot of this great big beautiful country. We aren't full timing but we are some timers, sometime we just hook up and go. This trip will be about 5 months then two months at home base and then off to Colorado and back to home base for a while and then back South for next winter. My suggestion is take you time there is lots to see. GBY...

We have averaged approximately 17,000 miles annually during the past three years. About 85% of those are towing miles.
I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

We put about 11,000 miles on the coach and another 8,000 miles on the Subaru ( just checked the odometer) running around (of course we also put the 11,000 miles on the car tires, just not on the odometer). So it looks like we are about average. And we don't move as much as a lot of fulltimers that we know.

We're a little over average but we have a small motorhome and no toad so that's for all of our vehicle travel.
