I run Debian Linux and did the suggested fix, which did make a huge difference..... for a while. Now the forums are hit or miss- if it loads at all, it loads fast, if it doesn't load, it doesn't load at all.
Most times if it shows "waiting for rv.net", I just hit refresh and bam- it's there, other times- usually if I'm posting- I have to hit stop, refresh, then submit. Yet other times it works fine but the pop up that shows while posting just gets stuck.
I'm still trying to figure out some of the page source code, like (brackets removed so it will display)-

What's up with that? It's lines 23-27 in the page source code.

Well, I upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 and the forum is still very slow. It`s the only web site that is slow on my machine, so I don`t think it`s my ISP.
