Hi,

We can't do polls on RV.net. I'm noticing a trend that folks with solar systems seem to have much longer battery life than folks without.

Please state how many years your batteries have lasted (five years or more, only please). Please state what your total amp-hour capacity is. Please mention if you have an inverter--and how many watts it is.

If you have had batteries that have lasted at least five years and you have a solar system could you please answer "yes" (and the number of watts) as a reply?

If you have had batteries that have lasted at least five years and you do *not* have a solar system could you please answer "no" as a reply?

If you have no solar system, five year old batteries and a "smart" charging system please answer "smart" as a reply?

If you have solar, a smart charger, and five year old batteries please answer "solar smart" as a reply?

My setup is only two years old... I doubt the longevity has to do with solar though, but rather with proper battery maintenance and care (it's easier to keep them fully charged in storage if you have solar.)
