I have a 2007 Weekend Warrior 28' Superlite 5er. My CO2 sensor (one up high on the wall) goes off pretty frequently. I have to turn off the power for it to stop. Is it faulty, do they go bad, or a cheap product installed? Any ideas? Should I just replace the unit? Thanks.

My CO alarm has gone off I blow it out, reset it and I'm good to go, if it keeps happening and Im sure it's a false reading I would just replace it, check the 9 volt battery too,If it's battery powered like mine

Lets see, we had the same problem in ours. Same trailer by the way. To answer your questions. Yes, yes, yes, and yes. There were a few of these going bad. WW replaced ours when we took it in for the first follow up warranty work. Same type but newer model was installed.

You mean CO (carbon monoxide) detector. I would get a different one installed ASAP to make sure it is a faulty unit or verify you do have CO present. CO is not detectable by smell and can be fatal.

I agree completely. But your ?? about going bad - yes they do get "old".and should be replaced periodivally. You do not know how old the detector was when the mfr. put it in your trailer. If it is sounding off for no reason - get a new one! They are not expensive.

It says in the owners manual, that these monitors are not supposed to see above 120F. You live in a hot area and I'm willing to bet when stored during the summer, the inside of your trailer sees over 120F. I disconnected mine and got a portable one. More sensitive and I take it in my house when the trailer is stored.

If it was me I would go to the hardware store and buy whatever they carried.

I would not do this. For what ever reason not all CO detectors are labeled for use in RV's you must read the use label
