I know that some manufacturers use a quality shower faucet. I also know that my fiver has one of the cheezy plastic shower faucets that are neatly impossible to regulate. Who makes a quality surface mount shower only faucet? Or what have you replaced the cheap plastic garbage with?

I really like my oxygenics shower head

I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

I think he's trying to replace the faucet, not the shower head.

Phoenix make a brass direct replacement, or you could do some work and install a single lever one from a big box home store.

The thing I don't like about the ones that come in the RV is that the hot side seems to shut itself down as it heats up from the hot water, so my shower is nearly finished before I really get the shower temperature adjusted and stabilized. Is there a good solution to that?
