From RV Business-
Quote:

Air-conditioner manufacturer Carrier Transicold, Farmington, Conn., will stop supplying RV OEMs with units in mid-December.

”We are fulfilling orders through Dec. 18,” said John Shaw, Carrier communcations manager. ”It was the result of an in-depth strategic review of the business. We decided it was the right thing to do.”

Chris, I couldn't tell if that would include the basement AC units marketed under the RVP brand. I believed RVP was a Carrier company, am I correct?

No, RVP is a completely separate company, and I would bet very unlikely to go under, or stop serving the RV market.

Not a shock when a supplier exits the RV market today for sure.

Our 1993 RVP units are Coleman units.

I'm wondering if I am going to have to replace both of my units now that I won't be able to get parts.

I need to replace one or both of my ceiling assemblies due to my own fault. I was also thinking I should upgrade to the freeblow ceiling assemblies that work with wall mount thermostats.

I suppose parts will be available for a while, but no money to buy today.
