ok I had signed up for straight talk thinking with the minutes for $30 would be a great deal... ( cant argue with that) but I did have to wait for my # to be transfered over... I have had nothing but trouble with thier website.. I cant log in... I have called over 6 times to get this straightend out.. been given several temporary passwords... and still cant access my account!! The minutes on the time is totally "wrong"... and when you call for support your calling GUAM and half the people cant even speak that good of English!!
Has anyone else had any problems or use this wireless service.??
I am calling today and having my account cancelled!! they all must be reading some kind of chart on your questions cause they all give you the same answer..... grrrrr....

sorry but i had to rant today....LOL

Guess you can't argue over the $30.00.... LOL Bill

Kinda of like the time I went with LINGO VOIP phone service, 8 hours of talk to India, they finally hit the right combo to get my phone to work. Only problem was my ISP configuration in the router file was so messed up, I had not internet. Another 3 Hours to get that and working. Then every fifth phone call I had to go down and rest there modem. After a month I canceled with them. Two years later the call me up, and want me to pay my bill for the last two years or it's going to collection. LOL.... I told them good luck on a thirty day contract. Where it states if payment isn't received your contract is canceled and service will be terminated. That told me that didn't apply because when I canceled my account I used the wrong phone number when I called in. I just hung up, still waiting three years later for there collection group to call. Bill.

Straighttalk is a NO-CONTRACT phone. If you click on 'Check Your Balance', you simply enter your phone number and the information will appear. I have had one since October 19th and so far really like it well. I did not port my original cell phone over. When we called Customer Service (who answered right away), we were told it would take 24 hours to port, so I decided to go with a new number.

I was with consumer cellular.. good customer serves.. but for $30 you only get 500 min...not that i need anymore.. i was usuing their $20 for 250... sometimes I use the phone more times then others and Straight talk' would give me more leaway in minutes for the price..
I did talk to someone who could speak english well and seemed to be the only one who knew what to do.. so I am waiting to see if this will be resolved. I checked my time and its WAAAAY OFF says 1998 min and something like 1098 text messages!! i am thinking whats going on!! My account still says "under construction" well thats not acceptable to me... I am payed up till dec so if they cant get stuff straight i will not buy another card... i had my auto pay cancelled.....

While I agree that their web site is slow, as shyser said all you have to do is go to the Straight Talk page and click on "check your balance" in the upper right hand corner, then enter your phone number. I just did it so I know it works.
I purchased my phone last Sunday and activated and ported my Verizon number all through the web. In less than an hour everything including the porting of the number was complete.

So far so good. My 16 year old son and I have both had it for almost a month, and no issues to date. DS is really into the texting so it has been a blessing to have the unlimited texting feature.
