Where can I find a winterizing how to? I know it can't be that hard to do just don't know what to do or where to start.

It's not rocket science and using common sense will go a long ways. If it can freeze, store it elsewhere. If it can freeze and can't be moved (like the plumbing) protect it with antifreeze. If pests can EAT it, move it out of the RV. If cold weather can DAMAGE it, move it out.

Here's my list, take what you want. Note numbers 1 to 26 are for UNwinterize.

Toybox Winterization

27. Drain fresh water tank – do while on concrete pad.
28. Chock wheels and lower stabilizers
29. Check tire pressures, put to 50 psi maximum
30. Cover tires
31. Check battery water
32. Turn off both Propane tanks
33. Drain hot water heater (7/8”) & flush it out (open all faucets first to avoid shower).
34. Add 1 gallon of antifreeze in fresh water tank
35. Put winterize valve to external line, with line into 1 gallon of antifreeze.
36. Bypass hot water heater (ccw to handle vertical)
37. Run each faucet (including shower) until red
38. Flush Toilet until red
39. Run outside shower until red
40. Un-bypass hot water heater (cw to handle horizontal)
41. Run some hot water to get antifreeze into water heater tank
42. Drain gray water into bucket & flush down house toilet
43. Drain black water into bucket & flush down house toilet
44. Shut off the pump and remove the screen and washer from your city water inlet. Push the anti-backflow valve in the city water inlet with a finger or screwdriver to allow the water to be purged out and antifreeze to flow. Be careful that it doesn't spray all over you!
45. Put antifreeze down shower drain
46. Put antifreeze down either sink drain
47. Put peanut oil in toilet, and 1 cup in each waste tank (cheap valve lube).
48. Clean fridge drain hose tiny plug end in rear behind outside fridge panel.
49. Install flea collars in outside openings to deter bugs
50. Install Damp Rid
51. Final Check
a. Demand Pump off
b. Tank heater & Light off
c. Gray & Black water tank heater off
d. Propane alarm fuse pulled
e. Smoke detector removed
f. Refrigerator turned OFF and both doors open
g. All canned (and un-canned) food removed, & trash empty
h. All windows & roof vent closed
i. All three doors locked

Bad advise if you have D or E rated tires.

30. Cover tires
31. Check battery water
32. Turn off both Propane tanks
33. Drain hot water heater (7/8”) & flush it out (open all faucets first to avoid shower).
34. Add 1 gallon of antifreeze in fresh water tank

Another very personal decision which manhy, many here do not agree with. Again, why give a recommendation which is unique to a specific situation that might not be applicable to the OP's question.

35. Put winterize valve to external line, with line into 1 gallon of antifreeze.
36. Bypass hot water heater (ccw to handle vertical)
37. Run each faucet (including shower) until red
38. Flush Toilet until red
39. Run outside shower until red
40. Un-bypass hot water heater (cw to handle horizontal)
41. Run some hot water to get antifreeze into water heater tank

That is definitely not recommended for WH with the electrode and w/o knowing what the OP has why give a recommendation which is unique to a specific situation that might not be applicable to the OP's question.

Again some bad advise since if under pressure you can mess up that check valve on the city water inlet if it's under pressure and you post assumes that since you say to be careful that it doesn't spray all over you.

45. Put antifreeze down shower drain
46. Put antifreeze down either sink drain
47. Put peanut oil in toilet, and 1 cup in each waste tank (cheap valve lube).

O.K. Maybe ... maybe not on the lube ... in almost 40 years I have never, ever put anything in my holding tanks to lube anything and have never had an issue.

48. Clean fridge drain hose tiny plug end in rear behind outside fridge panel.
49. Install flea collars in outside openings to deter bugs
50. Install Damp Rid
51. Final Check
a. Demand Pump off
b. Tank heater & Light off
c. Gray & Black water tank heater off
d. Propane alarm fuse pulled
e. Smoke detector removed
f. Refrigerator turned OFF and both doors open
g. All canned (and un-canned) food removed, & trash empty
h. All windows & roof vent closed

Again like so many of your laundry list items that are not tailered to the specifics of what the OP is facing is not good. Leaving a roof vent open can really help in keeping the trailer vented in the winter if you have the proper vent covers on. Even w/o vent covers I always leaved my unprotected vent covers slightly cracked where snow whatever couldn't melt and get inside.

i. All three doors locked

I only have two doors so again your laundry list for what you might do may or may not apply to this OP's question so why list yours and say to them to decide what is applicable .. . If they knew that much they probably would not have asked the question here looking for specific guidance which you did not give IMHO.

And of course you forget to metion things like the low point drains, ice maker and washer if the OP has those ... obviously you don't have the last two so your laundry list should fit every body else ... NOT ...

Why don't folks actually spend a few minutes to give someone wanting information good information instead of spreewing junk I know you said what you might do to fit your individual needs and the particulars of your trailer, but to just give a laundry list and say take what you want it IMHO a disservice to what the OP what looking for.

LarryJM, why don't you take some Metamucil? You sound like you could use some. Chuck & Gail at least gave some advice, which they prefaced with a disclaimer. I also noticed you didn't have anything positive to offer the OP in the way of any of YOUR sage advice.

Don't forget the outside shower. Everybody forgets this at least once.
