This is not a "For Sale" ad. I'm a DP guy but we have come into the possession (free) of a 1981 Prowler 5th Wheel and have no idea if it may have any street value. The best I can say for the unit is it is "redoable". The frame and rolling parts are sound, the outside metal surfaces are in fair condition with some dents and the fiberglass wheelwell trims are broken. The interior needs a bit more than just TLC. The kitchen area floor is broken and needs to be replaced. A couple of windows are broken and one is missing. (A swamp cooler had been installed which also leaked and ruined the rear bumper.)

I am not going to work on this unit to make it saleable. Is there any market for this type of unit? What might be a value?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Don Parrish PHX, AZ

Best you can do is try to sell it as either a hunting cabin or someone taking the RV off and building a trailer on the frame. You won't be able to get much for it. Maybe $100? Try listing it on Craigslist.

That fifth wheel is worth more for its parts (like the fluorescent fixtures and wiring and plumbing, door latches and knobs and intact windows) than it is as an RV.
