Someone said "Diesel fuel will grow algae if stored for too long. 2 years is way too long. I would not risk damaging the injectors etc. by using fuel that old." Guess I'm in trouble as I'm currently using 2+ year old diesel in my heavy equiptment. Not sure what passes a 10 micron fuel filter is going to do to my injectors.
Sounds like the OP needed a new fuel filter two years ago so I'd be buying two new ones and I'd syphon some fuel from the bottom of the tank to see what it looks like and if there is any water in it. More than likely you will not have any problems using it.

Wrong!
Diesel fuel will grow algae only in the presence of water.
Have used diesel fuel that was over 30 years old without a problem.

BIL has a tractor that has been setting for 2 years next week he will give it a shot of starting fluid, jump start it, run it hard 8 hours a day for 3 to 4 weeks then shut it down for another year or two. I would guess the tractor is 15 or more years old.
Then again a MH is not a tractor!
You could call the manufacture and get their recommendation.
Don't use starting fluid on the motorhome!

I agree, no water, there should be no algae.
Diesel fuel does not "rot" and become like varnish as gasoline will.
change the filters and run it.

Won't damage the injectors. May plug the filters though.
