He probably got a promotion to get him out of that department.

It's called warehouse reorganization.
Considering the amount of collaps I would say that the structional integrity of the shelving system needs to be investigated. TOO FLIMSY.

Could you imagine if that happened in a costco/sams/home depot/lowes warehouse while they were open for business with customers in the store. Yes, I know they rope off all or part of the aisle when using the forklift but you never know.

I made the same statement to my DH who used to work in a warehouse like that. He pointed out that the jitney bent the first upright and there was no hope after that. He said even bolting the shelving into the cement wouldn't have helped in that situation. Yes, very thankful no customers at that time and YES, he should have been fired. DH said at his workplace, it would have been immediate suspension.

That was all Vodka in those cases. Think it was about $175,000.0 worth of Russian Vodka.

Typical Russian operation (remember Chernobyl). The plants I've worked in always had "crash" pillars near the corners. We also tied off the racks to support structures to avoid the domino effect. I believe these things are also OSHA requirements.

It also looks like the operator hit the gas instead of the brake.
