Our options appear to be a sealant that will last 1 year, or a rubber roof that will last 3 years. The roof is fiberglass now, but it sounds like replacing that would be cost prohibitive. Any suggestions? The other option of course is to upgrade. Tough call expensive - but a NEW, quality installed rubber roof should last much longer than 3 years. Who gave you that information? and by the way, welcome to the Forum. This is even a job you may be able to due your self, no harder than painting. Spraying is the best way and the gun only costs about $50.00. Google EVERCOAT AUTO BODY MATERIALS. They make a bed-liner that is tough and can be bought at several automotive stores. Should be able to do it for less than 500 even if you have to rent a air compressor. Best thing is she won't leak again. Something here doesn't compute! What can possibly be wrong with a Fiberglas Roof that can't be repaired? Unless You have totally Ripped it Off I just don't get it! If there are no other RV repair shops I would try a boat repair place. They work with fiberglass all the time. Did you do damage to your roof or is the problem at the seams around the edges? There is a Rhino Liner dealer not far from me that does roofs and underbellies of RV's on a regular basis. He has it in white for the roof. Cracks could be easily fixed with new cloth resin with a white gellcote. Are there any swimming pool installers in your area that fix fiberglass pool liners? Eternabond would be even easier. The entire roof could be re-gellcoated quite easily. I used to build pools in college and we repaired them all the time. I bet CW would also tell me that I needed it replaced. I would get a second opinion.
