I filled up in Haubstadt Indiana I-64 exit25b Yesterday 11-9-09 The CAR DIESEL PRICE POSTED AT THE RV PUMPS ON A SIGN SAYS $2.95. I asked the clerk is that right? she said yes, The other posted sign you see driving down the road $2.75 is for truckers w/DOT card. the only disount I got was 1 penny per gallon. I am now in Missouri on I-70 exit 188 in Warrenton I asked the clerk what is the price for RVrs on Diesel? She said its posted $2.57 for cash if you fill at the RV pump that's what it is.
She could not believe me. I'm bringing in the receipt to show her today. STAY AWAY FROM THAT ONE IF YOU CAN.

It's tax law, not the Flying J. Just don't buy fuel in Indiana, that's how I get around that problem.

And your point is??????

Different states collect a different amount of tax on the fuel. Different states have different method of collecting taxes on commercial vehicles. Consequently, different states will have different prices on fuel.

Been that way for years. Trucks pay a state fuel tax and get relief at the pump. Private vehicles do not.

Welcome to the new member, who obviously hasn't got all the experience with diesel some do here. Say hi and turn off the flamethrowers guys!

My sentiments exactly. Two different stations, in different states, have different prices. Seems to me that's as it should be.
What's the problem?

The problem, for ME would be the misleading advertising on the highway.

It is not misleading. In the state of Indiana they add the fuel road tax to the price after the purchase for anyone except truckers who pay the tax separate.
