That anyone has had put in their RV, in place of the crappy rv ovens? In our next unit, we will have a microwave/convection instead of just a microwave, but that's too small for bread baking, and I'd like propane for when there's no power.
Have you "Tinkled" today?

The oven in my camper is a Magic Chef and it works just fine, just runs a little hotter than the oven at home, so we have to adjust for that by using an oven thermometer and not just the setting on the dial. What type of "crappy" oven do you have?

My oven in the TT works great, and I don't use any pizza stone. We've made casseroles, cookies, cobblers, cakes, etc. with no problems.

Our oven works well, we do use a thermometer, but we often do that at home just to make sure. The camper oven is just a little smaller and of course simpler(thankfully!).

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure it's a Magic Chef. It cooks fine for things that only require low heat, casseroles, meat etc. But it won't go over 350 degrees and that's just not hot enough for any bread other than sandwich bread, and certainly not hot enough to bake a muffin.

We never had a problem with any of the ovens in our RVs. Use them all the time but it does help that as an appliance repair tech I have calibrated the ovens which have been off by as much as 40 degrees. Temperature gage I use is +or-2 degrees, those store dail gages for ovens can be off by more than 50 degrees. Wife also has a pizza stone in the oven. Over the years I have calibated hunderds of oven and better than 90% are more than 25 degrees off. The manufacture standards for themostats are allowed a 50 degree difference between dail and act. temp. and any more than 50 degrees the thermostat must be replaced. Unless you have a large open area for a standard range which in most cases today the ovens are off as much as 50 degees anyways.

My "crappy" Amana oven is amazing Larger than the Wedgewoods we had, and I used it for everything, including breads, cheesecakes (commercially....tho only one at a time). Never burned anything and right on the dime temp-wise

She says it won't get over 350 degrees. I wonder if it has some line blockage, preventing it from getting enough gas? Have the system blown with compressed air and see if that improves the performance.

We've had it looked at by our dealer, they couldn't find a problem with it. It simply won't go any hotter.
