For those that used the excuse that the "cheeks" on the bumper made the truck look ugly, your request for a redesign has been addressed.

GM is loosing us as a customer, if they continue with this body style. They have not had a decent body style since 2007 and the interior is, IMHO, as draconian as they come. Our GM has 107K and will need replacing in another year or two, so I guess Ford, Dodge or Toyota will get a new customer.

I remember when the GM twins were the best looking trucks. Where are those designers now?

Is the front bumper cheeks, though downsized, still made of plastic? Why does a crew cab, dual rear wheel, 4wd pickup with a MSRP of close to $60,000 come equipped with plastic bumpers and plastic wheel covers. Has Obama appointed a chromed plastic Czar to the board of GM?
I can see that if Chrysler survives, quickly surpass GM/Chevy in the pickup truck market, especially the HD share. While I still am a big Ford turck fan, I would certainly choose a great looking 3500 Dodge over this very hodge podge, odd looking trucks.

Unfortunately, I agree with The The Texan and Dshelley. 2007 was the last of the attractive trucks for GM. These designers need to get with the program.

It seems for every truck design there are those that like it and those that don't. All of the trucks I owned from 1988 to 2008 were Fords and I was always happy with my Fords. In 2008 I liked the new GM trucks so much that I traded the Ford for a 2008 Chevy. In 2009 I traded the Chevy for a GMC. I really prefer the new GM trucks to any other trucks. I think the quality and engineering are exceptional. Just one persons opinion and preference.

I agree with Ridgerunner. I do not have an engineering degree and am not a famous truck designer like others who have commented negativly. All I know is that these GM trucks have a civilized ride and my GM products have been reliable and trouble free. My friends with fords have spent thousands on repairs. The last thing I will do is tell my friends with other brands that they have made a wrong decision. What happened to civility on this forum?
