Somehow we forgot to turn on the propane to power the fridge when we unplugged our rig and moved it for a few days while we had driveway work done. When we moved it back in place we reconnected but didn't go inside the trailer. That was 3 weeks ago.

Well...We are leaving for FDR SP on Saturday morning, so I went into the trailer to get things ready. Open the fridge and *(GAG ME!)* Mildew everywhere! I bleached the heck out of everything, threw away the mayo, mustard, salad dressing, etc that I keep in there all the time.

I can't get the mildew staining off the fridge seal. What can I do? Can i replace the seal, maybe? I don't want to have to replace the fridge. If that's the answer, we'll just have to live with the black spots. ERk.

I have found that the Clorox kitchen cleaner spray works pretty well to bleach the black spots away.....I use a sponge with the rough surface and work at it. Let the spray sit for a little while, to work into it, then scrub....it should come clean, or at least be cleaner.

Good Luck

Yep! Works great when you buy a 15 year old rig that has sat a while.

Two parts hot water, one part clorox bleach and one part vinegar worked for me.

Bleach water (or Chlorx Wipes) should work on the seal

Follow with a Baking Soda water wash to remove the bleach as it may (long term) damage things.
