The other night I read through forum concerning keeping toilet clean. I read many "tricks" such as placing "T" in line so spray attachment can be attached, waxing bowl and others. However, I never saw anything concerning keeping an inexpensive nylon bristle toilet brush nearby. I do understand that you don't want to use anything that will scratch bowl. I don't believe a nylon toilet brush will scratch. Am I missing something here or is my method too simplistic for most?
I appreciate your patience with me, I'm still learning and have found this forum an invaluable wealth of info.

Keeping this is a family friendly context, I'll use the metaphor of StarTrek and Star Wars.

If the Klingon's won't voluntarily leave the Nebula Bowl, and if application of anti-Klingon repellent wax doesn't work as it should, then it is perfectly appropriate to use the "light saber" brush to banish the bad guys into the Black Hole Vortex.
You can also use a spray bottle filled with some windex or water to fire off short bursts of high power "Phaser Fire".

This can be ordered as an option in some very high end coaches.

We've had both built-in sprayers and old-fashioned toilet bowl brushes. Both work. Obviously, the sprayer is less hands on, but the brush wins every time.

I have been thinking about using a silicone spray to slicken it up,but you'd have to re-apply it often.Yes the tried and proven brush works well, but then you have the problem of keeping it clean also.
I also like the idea of the toilet sprayer that's tied into the line beside the toilet. It would be really great if it had warm water and then could do double duty.

I got one almost just like it but I didn't opt to upgrade to the colored model. Got mine at Ikea for I think under two bucks.

Agree the soft brush method is best for Klingons but added the spray attachment this year to ours, and it washes away almost all those nasties. Every unit should automatically come with one. Only costs minimal bucks and does a pretty good job for most.

The most IMPORTANT thing for us is keeping the flushing mechanism working properly so it adequately rinses the bowl with each flush. the original system didn't do that so I reamed out the inlet and outlet restrictors on ours and NOW it flushes and makes clean up a lot less frequent.
