Hi - I'm a new RV guy. Just bought a 1987 Travelmaster 36 tag axle with a Chevy 454.

I will be towing a 20 foot open trailer with a race car on it. About 4000 pounds - I'll be at the max for this vehicle and will be beefing up the hitch when I have the brake controller installed.

My questions are about protecting the transmission and adding power to the motor.

I'm going to look into adding a trans cooler - is there anything else I should be thinking about for the trans.

Regarding the motor - suggestions for adding some additional power? I looked at some of the Banks kits - any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Ben
