The release of a "beta" version of software is generally so that users can help determine it's effectiveness and aid in discovering any technical flaws. These users can then report their findings to the developers so they can be corrected before the final release. Not being a really technically minded person, I usually wait for the release of the final product as my contributions to the beta program would be miniscule, if indeed at all.

I have running the nightly trunk versions for about 2 years and they are as stable as any release Ive used too.
The only issue I had was a change they made which affected Tab Mix Plus and now you must specify the version in a specific parameter setting in the about#&058config " to make this work correctly. It started in Firefox 3.7a1pre.
You can get about any release here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/
You may have add-ons and themes that fail to work or load after updates, but there is a fix for that too.

I switched with the release of 3.6b4, and other than a handful of extensions that don't yet work, I like it- much faster than even 3.5.
About the only extension I miss is flashblock, which would crash the browser for me, but I don't really miss it.

Hi Chris,
I use flashblock also. If it is important to you & you want to make it work, use these instructions.
Example: Search "firefox add-on flashblock"
You will get this link (not clickable for display):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433
The addon is 433
This link indicates has been updated and compatible with 1.5-3.7.
Make note of the add-on number, then look it up here and save the .xpi file to your pc. After setting the compatibility check to false, you can drag and drop the .xpi to the browser to install.
