I just carry the triangle set.
I used to carry flares. But over time they got damp and were no good.
Flares also cause fires if not cared for when in use along the road side. many a road side fire and brusch fire has been started with them.

I don't carry any of those things but I seldom travel at night. If they can't see that big 34 foot long box sitting beside the highway in daylight hours there's little chance they;ll notice a little sign.

Ditto DOT spec. triangles....and LED flashers---flashers can be seen further, though....suggest YOU check YOUR area DMV requirements, too....

We carry the triangles. If you break down along the side of the highway they give up coming drivers warning that you are stopped. All your commerial carries also carry them. They work day or night and I've used them a few times.

Agreed Also let's passing drivers know you are broke down and need or awaiting help.

Triangles work good. Don't forget to space them 'bout 50 feet apart..
